Focus on life sciences research
The aim of the Babraham Research Campus is to create an environment where life sciences companies can fully focus on their research and building their business in a strong community. World-class life-sciences research and businesses come together at the campus to promote innovation and strengthen the link between science and commerce.
The campus offers a supportive community and high-quality facilities that allow community members to fully focus on their research — and take time out for various activities.
The Babraham Institute offers several research facilities developed with investments from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). Organisations can benefit from access to these facilities coordinated by Baraham Institute Enterprise. In addition, the campus also offers an accelerator programme, Accelerate@Babraham, to support the development of new concepts and businesses.
Golden Triangle
The Babraham Research Campus is located in the so-called ‘Golden Triangle’ between Cambridge, London and Oxford. This is one of the world’s leading concentrations of companies and research institutes in biotechnology and life sciences. The campus is only 10 kilometres from Cambridge and is easily accessible by car and public transport.
